ABOUT US

• Spazio Musica is an institution recognized and sponsored by the Ministero dello Spettacolo since its birth.
  It was founded by Gabriella Ravazzi and Manlio Palumbo Mosca. Since 1979 it has organized International Stages.
  The aim of our association is to promote and diffuse cultural exchanges, particularly as refers to the training of young musicians and performers.

• Our excellent organization and the collaboration of famous teachers have always attracted numerous participants, increasing every year, together with the number of classes, which now include the great majority of musical subjects.
  Alongside with the classes, we have organized in our 25 years of existence a great number of high-standard musical activities:
  Concerts     Ballets       Operas     International Competition for opera singers and conductors Spazio Musica

• Tournées all over Europe with the collaboration of famous soloists and with our best students, who have thus had the opportunity to start a brilliant career.
  Since 1995 we have been operating in Orvieto, where, thanks to the collaboration of the City Council, we have been able to use the nineteenth-century Teatro Mancinelli. There we have started an Opera Workshop, an almost unique occasion for young singers, conductors, directors and musicians, who can have their début on a historical stage and experiment in the fascinating and complex world of melodrama. From 2010 Opera Workshop also takes place at Niccolini Theatre at San Casciano in Val di Pesa (Firenze)

• Opera festival "divertir cantando", reached the 4 th edition.  Held in Diano Castello, a medieval village in the hinterland of Imperia, and was characterized by the choice of programs: the comic operas of '700 rare and listening music-theater pieces specially commissioned for the festival. This activity, as everything that deals with Spazio Musica, is aimed at integrating young talents who are paired with established artists. Example: the winners of the Singing Competition Spazio Musica, each year are included in a new production.

• Our teachers, always chosen because of their excellence and experience, have supported the students, who have had the opportunity to perform in very successful shows.

• Now, to complete our didactic activity and to answer the request of our students, we have founded an Annual Academy for the perfectioning of singers, orchestra conductors, accompanying pianists and substitute conductors.

• The classes are given in Firenze and in Paris.
